The Heavy Vehicle Access Management System (HVAMS) represents a contemporary approach to heavy vehicle access on the Queensland and Tasmanian Road Networks. HVAMS for the Australian Defence Force is a collaboration between the Tasmanian Department of State Growth, Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads, respective local road managers and the Australian Defence Force (ADF).

HVAMS for the ADF currently operates under National Heavy Vehicle Regulator permit but is planned ultimately to operate under The Australian Defence Force Road Transport Exemption Framework, likely in the Spring of 2024.
